HP has unveiled the new additions to its range of Latex printers, the HP Latex 500 series consisting of the 560 and 570 printers, and the HP Latex 1500. They will be exhibited at Drupa.
The 500 series is aimed at medium to large print-service-providers, with both the 560 and 570 allowing users to manage a series of jobs with more unattended printing—HP Latex Mobile means jobs can be managed away from the printer or overnight—and boasts usage modes with 50 percent more ink density.
“Many medium-to-large sign and display print providers are looking for solutions that can handle higher-production volumes and enable access to profitable applications,” commented Xavier Garcia, General Manager for HP Inc.’s large Format Printing Division.
“The HP Latex 500 series and 1500 Printer set new performance thresholds at a lower upfront investment, helping customers meet peak production demands to keep jobs in-house as well as capture growth application opportunities such as indoor and outdoor backlit signage.”
The company informed that the Latex 500 series will be available from August and the Latex 1500 printers will be available by July this year.
The new 64-inch Latex 560 and 570 boast about the spindle-less pivot table and automatic skew adjustment to load rolls in one minute or less and the machine can handle heavy duty rolls up to 55kg. It has vivid print modes with 50% more ink density, also featuring a wiper roller accessory for high-quality results on low-cost banners and self-adhesive vinyl.
The Latex 1500 kit offers solutions on the indoor and outdoor applications like PVC banners, self-adhesive vinyl, textiles and double-sided prints. It has a printing speed up to 74sq/m per hour in outdoor production mode and up to 45sq/m per hour in indoor mode. The printer has a 1200dpi HP thermal inkjet printheads, auto nozzle replacement; an optical media advance sensor (OMAS) and an embedded spectrophotometer.
