The F&K 20SIX a combination of intelligent design and intelligent economics can take on a wide range of printing jobs on flexible substrates. The CS (Customized Solution) model is based on the same CI platform whilst offering enhanced versatility for specific production requirements.
The F&K 20SIX CS sold to Uflex Limited, India’s largest packaging company, is designed to meet the specific production requirements of holographic substrates. In close co-operation with Uflex, the press features a 10-colour CI printing section, an F&K 20SIX downstream unit for applying glue in register with the CI press, and a laminator for laminating the holographic film to the printed substrate. The press is ready for the integration of secondary winders and an E-beam curing system provided by the customer.
Uflex pioneered in the world to introduce the Electron Beam curing technology for improving various characteristics of printed films used for products like WPP (Woven Polypropylene) bags for pet food including higher gloss, high scuff resistance, and increased light stability. “Printing, laminating, and E-beam curing of holographic films are very demanding processes that require high-end equipment. We opted for the F&K 20SIX which we consider the most advanced CI flexo press on the market,” said Amit Ray, President and CEO, Uflex Converting Division.
