As per the notification issued by the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar Mr. Kamal Chopra of Ludhiana is nominated as the member of the Academic Council (AC) of the university with immediate effect for a term of two year. MD of Foil Printers, Ludhiana Mr. Kamal Chopra is the Chairman of International relations at the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), General Secretary of Offset Printers’ Association (OPA), North India Printers Association (NIPA), NIPA Educational Trust and Indian Society of Communication Technology. Secretary General of Indian Institute of Printing Engineers (IIPE), Kamal is also the President of the Printers Club of India and Editor in Chief of the Punjab Print. Mr. Chopra is the eminent educationists and is associated with the GJUS&T as the member of Board of Studies of the department of printing since its inception.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Chopra said Education/knowledge is the basic requirement of each and every human being. I wish to start skill development training at the University, if possible, He said, about 63% of the school students drop out at different stages before reaching Class-X. Very few opportunities for skill development are available for these out of school youth & existing workers especially in the informal sector. He thanked the authorities of the GJUS&T for giving him chance to server in the capacity of AC member of the University.
