Malhotra Graphics, the Mumbai-based representative for Xeikon platesetters has recently bagged two orders for Xeikon ThermoflexX platesetters.
Malhotra Graphics added Xeikon ThermoflexX digital imager for flexographic platemaking to its portfolio, last year.
Bhatia Graphics, the Mumbai-based firm is the first in India to opt for a Xeikon ThermoflexX TFX 30 plate-setter, according to Navdeep Singh Dadwal, the vice president sales at Malhotra Graphics. The unique property of this platesetter is the hybrid drum technology which can do metal back plates tool for letterpress plates.
The next install for Malhotra is in Hyderabad. Repro Poly Services, a pre-press bureau, with a move to take its conventional platemaking method to digital has opted for the Xeikon ThermoflexX TFX 48 platesetter. The machine is expected to be installed in the end of February 2015.
The company which offers services for label, corrugation and flexible packaging segment has been serving the print packaging industry with photopolymer plates for the past 15 years. ” It was high time that we upgraded ourselves from conventional platemaking to offer quality plates to the industry,” said Rohit Shingale, owner and partner Repro Poly Services.
The machine offers HD plate-making with 5080 dpi as compared to 600-1200 dpi which the company used to get on its conventional platesetter.
