Manugraph, the Indian web-offset manufacturing company recently announced a tie-up with Seiken Graphics based out of Japan to promote the Seiken 85 press model in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Middle-east.
Speaking about the partnership, Pradeep Shah, managing director, Manugraph India said, “Seiken 85, will now be a product option available to the Indian market. Besides the Smartline and Dreamline which run at speeds of 70,000 and 50,000 cph respectively, we can now offer our customers world class Japanese technology with a speed of 80,000 cph, providing great versatility to customers with higher print runs.”
The Seiken 85, a 4×1 circumference press is capable of running at a maximum speed of 80,000 cph. The Daily Thanthi in South India has a Seiken 65 4×1 circumference press.
“India, being a nation with the largest paid circulation of newspapers in the world and growing, we felt it was necessary to support this segment of larger print runs by adding the Seiken 85 to our portfolio,” added Shah.
In addition to this, Seiken will promote the 2×1 machines from Manugraph in Japan. “This agreement is expected to complement the growth of both our company’s and enhance market capabilities by dual sharing of technology,” said Shah.
Besides the Seiken 85, Manugraph will also promote other Seiken products. According to the company press relase, this includes, “the single gripper conveyor system, plate punching and bending device and the super panorama system.”
