Nutech Print Services acquired Baba Barkha Nath Printers (BBN) to form Nutech Print Services – India. The acquisition was recently closed with Timmy Kuthiala, former MD at BBN Printers, joining as the Vice President- Operations at Nutech Print Services – India. The acquisition represents a pooling of skills and resources, as Nutech Print Services acquires the entire B&W print portfolio of BBN, in an effort to provide superior print services with quicker turnaround times. B&W jobs currently represent a third of Nutech Print Services’ work portfolio.
Operating out of three plants, the Nutech Group is a leading print services provider. With sophisticated machines and trained manpower, the company is geared to handle highly specialized jobs, be it book printing, packaging or security printing. With a four decade legacy, Nutech Print Services, headed by second generation printer Ravi Shroff, offers prepress, press and finishing facilities to the publishing industry and commercial jobs to corporates. With a 500-plus workforce at the Faridabad plant, Nutech Print Services can produce any trim size, be it monochrome or high-end color printing. The company’s mix of work runs from basic 1/c paperback to high-end 4/c coffee table books, children’s books, school text books, dictionaries, coloring books, travel guides, calendars, bible printing on 28 gsm paper and much more with finishing facilities including soft- and hard-cover binding.
Nutech invested in a Kolbus Ratiobinder and a Wohlenberg 28 station collator just within the last 18 months to further expand its postpress capabilities. According to Ravi Shroff, the print services industry is at a crucial but exciting juncture, undergoing a dramatic shift. It is only prudent that printers must step up to this challenge to remain relevant.
