With an aim to increase and diversify its focus within South India, PackPlus South is moving to Bangalore in the year 2015 after five successful editions Hyderabad. Print-Packaging.com (P) Ltd., organized a core-group meeting in the city on 12 December to kick start the preparations of the event and to get industry viewpoint on the focus of the exhibition and the accompanying Conclave.
The brain storming session was attended by representatives from Rathna Packaging India Pvt. Ltd., Trigon Digital Solutions, Graphene Med Resource, Synthetic Packers Pvt. Ltd., Studio ABD Design Services Pvt. Ltd., Print-Packaging.Com Pvt. Ltd., Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., Tata Elxsi Ltd., The Himalya Drug Company, Biocon Ltd. and Trimurti Group Of Companies. Prabuddha Das Gupta, Packaging Consultant (ex- HUL), coordinated the meeting.
Track & Trace, Serialization, Designing for Value Addition, Green Packaging, Trends in High Speed Filling Lines, Growing Role of Automation in Packaging Machines & Prospects of Trends in Emerging Online Market Place were some of the topics which came up for discussion for possible inclusion in the conclave. It was also agreed that a Whatsapp group of those present in the meeting will be set up so that discussion can be carried on informally to arrive at a cohesive program.
PackPlus South, scheduled to be held from 1-4 April 2015 at BIEC, Bangalore, will also be accompanied by SupplyPlus South 2015 that made a triumphant debut earlier this year. The concurrently running conclave will be a two day program to be held on 2nd and 3rd of April, where day one will focus on packaging and day two on supply chain; designed in a way to carry forward the discussion of first day on the following day.
