The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) held its annual elections recently and a meeting was held on 25 September 2022 for the formal announcement of results. Mr. Raveendra Joshi has taken over as the new President of the association.
Mr. Joshi has already served AIFMP in various capacities and had served as the President of the association earlier for the term 2018-19, as well.
Mr. Joshi is a Law Graduate from ILS Law College, Pune. After completion of his B.Com, he has expanded his family business by upgrading the infrastructure. Mr. Joshi also established his own identity by establishing United Multi-color Printers Pvt Ltd, a commercial printing house with the ultra-modern technology equipment from pre-press to post press and diversified operations in packaging and book printing segments. His company has won several ‘National Awards for Excellence in Print (NAEP)’ in printing, at competitions held on national levels.
Mr. Joshi is currently the President of The Poona Press Owners Association Ltd, also popularly known as PPOA. PPOA is the oldest association of Printers having a legacy of 103 years.
During his tenure, Mr. Joshi has conceptualized and implemented BULK BUYING of Printing Inks. The association supplies the inks to its affiliated members at a 25% – 28% discounted rate. This is the only successful module of its kind in the printing industry world-wide build partnering with Toyo Ink India Ltd. After 10 years of successful hard work Toyo has further strengthened the bond by appointing PPOA as a exclusive dealer of JPN brand ink for the region of Maharashtra.
After testing the success, under the able leadership of Mr. Raveendra Joshi, PPOA has further ventured into selling of other related raw material like adhesives, hardboard, stitching wire, stripping roles etc. through their Mudran Sahitya Bhandar, which was established in 1964.
Considering the positive response from the print community, PPOA is all set to convert this activity into establishing a “Shopping Mall” in the City of Pune while offering full range of raw materials required for printing under one roof at good discounted prices to help printer community in and around the geographical area.
Raveendra Joshi is also ambitious to start a Museum of the Printing Machinery in Pune, showcasing the development in the Technology since invention of Printing.
While reacting to the good news, Mr. Joshi said, “I am honored to hold the position of AIFMP PRESIDENT again and look forward to continue doing good work for the benefit of our printing fraternity in India. Further, completing the project of building AIFMP BHAVAN AND RESEARCH CENTRE at Manesar, Haryana, will be the dream project to work on.”
