Mumbai Mudrak Sangh’s Hawk’s Eye Seminar which focused on Insurance Claims and MSME schemes for the print industry, was held on Saturday, 22 November, at the Hotel Sea Princess in Mumbai, and saw a full house with an attendance of 150+ delegates from the printing and packaging industry.
The half day seminar witnessed 56 Governing Council members representing the Western Region of All India Federation of Master Printers. The print delegates were from Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Baroda, Dombivali, Indore, Kolhapur, Latur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Sangli, Satara, Solapur, Thane, etc.
The half day event hosted a seminar on insurance in which representatives from leading Insurance companies, assessors, made presentations about the MSME sector. In addition, four print firm CEOs shared the perils of non insurance and how to file a claim.
Session on insurance was chaired by Medha Virkar, president of MMS. Virkar has also compiled a set of interviews with the affected printers in the latest issue of Print Bulletin.
In addition, the event updated members about PrintPack 2015, the international exhibition with 290 exhibitors which is being held from 11 to 15 February 2015 at the Greater Noida Expo Mart.
Prashant Vats,executive secretary of IPAMA, said, “The total area which has been sold, so far, 14,700 sq/mt. We will book 17,200 sq/mt in the next few days.”
The seminar also imparted knowledge on various schemes for MSME including the benefits of participating in any exhibition (domestic or foreign) as visitor or as an exhibitor.
