Michelman India recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Business and Technology Centre in Mumbia. As a result of its re acquisition of long-time sales and service partner, Supack International, Michelman India now offers a business center, laboratory, and an experienced team of sales, technical service and business operations personnel.
The entity shall be handled by Dr Rick Michelman, Board Member; Steven Wong, Vice President & Managing Director – Asia Pacific and Pankaj Shah, Co-Director.
“There is tremendous opportunity in the Asian market; especially in India. With our direct presence, we intend to address the specific needs of the industry and customers with our customised solutions across the coating, print/packaging and industrial manufacturing product line,” said Michelman.
For Wong, Michelman’s growth trajectory in India will soar to great heights owing to the needs and innovations that the Indian customers demand.
Michelman India’s laboratory is equipped with several industry accepted product testing capabilities for packaging, printing, and coating applications and according to Shah, the growing printing and packaging sector is the company’s immediate focus.
“Michelman is a global developer and manufacturer of environmentally friendly advanced materials for industry. Michelman’s water-based surface modifiers, additives and polymers add value in a wide range of applications including wood care, industrial coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, and composites among others,” Shah said.
