The flexible packaging manufacturer Positive Packaging, a part of Enpee Group, has acquired SGRE Labels, Bangalore. This acquisition of the label manufacturing business, which follows the recent integration of ICM Packaging, is part of Positive’s vision to become its customers’ preferred supplier. It provides the company with new label packaging equipment and infrastructure.
“We have been observing the increased scope of requirements of our customers, who would like to deal with a single supplier for a wide range of their packaging requirements,” said Pranesh Kankanwadi, Managing Director, Positive Packaging Group. “One of the requirements is labels. Being prompt to react to our customers’ needs, we clinched the opportunity to provide superior labelling solutions at par with global standards that Positive is known for,” he added.
SGRE currently uses European machines, with additional equipment set to be installed in March 2013. In order to hasten the turnaround of short-run jobs and product sampling, the company is equipped with HP Indigo digital printing / converting equipment. It manufactures self-adhesive labels for the manufacturing, telecom, IT, apparel, pharma, FMCG and retail sectors.
