With decades of experience in the Indian self-adhesive label business, Harveer Sahni, has earned a momentous recognition in the industry. Adding another feather to his crown was the recently extended prestigious R. Stanton Avery Global Achievement Award. Weldon Sales Corporation was started by the father of Harveer Sahni in 1939 in Lahore. After completing his B.Sc in Chemistry, Harveer actively started working in the family business in 1971. It was in 1997 that the company started manufacturing self-adhesive labelstock. A year later they added another coater to have a separate release liner manufacturing. The decade of 1990s witnessed a lot of change, when Weldon was referred to as the largest Indian labelstock manufacturer.
In 2005 Harveer Sahni started his blog “Self-adhesive Labels Industry in India and The World”, and till date has posted 214 informative articles on success stories, technical specifications, market size, events, mergers & acquisitions all across the industry. The blog has crossed 4,44,000 page views and expects to cross half a million this year from global audience spread across all continents.
Harveer Sahni is also on the board of directors of Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) and have curated along with the LMAI team many highly successful events, bringing together label printers suppliers and print buyers from different segments like FMCG, Pharma and Lubricants.
