Post press is an integral part of any print job. Even beautifully-printed job looks shoddy if it is not properly finished, hence the importance of automation in the finishing process. With such high-speed printing machines on offer, quality and speedy finishing equipments have become the need of the day. At PAMEX ’15, visitors can find a plethora of finishing options as well. Here’s a sneak peek into them.
Memory Repro Systems (P) Ltd(Stall D22) is displaying case-making with thermal laminator and board knurling machine. According to AmanKhindria, they are also offering thermal laminators for digital press in the 24” and 15” formats. Besides, we are offering a few pre-press solutions like Vision punch and bender for Ryobi and Heidelberg machines and plate cleaning machines for flexo and offset presses.” Talking about the PAMEX ’15 show, he added that the show has been good and they are on the verge of closing some deals.
Stationery Automation (P) Ltd/ Samplindia (Stall C41) is offering wire-stitching machines, eyeletting and riveting machines, paper drilling machines, etc.
Gayathri Machineries/Grover Industries (Stall D03) were supposed to display a host of post-press machines at the show but due to floods in Chennai, they opted for a smaller stand and are showcasing only a few machines. They have launched eyeletting machines from Hohner, Germany and before the PAMEX ’15, they have already sold a couple of machines in Bangalore, Sivakasi, Patna and Kolkata.
The company also offers solutions for stapling, which are cost-effective depending on the volume of the print job. “We offer stapling solutions from Skrebba which offers all kinds of staplers. Our solutions range from Rs 5 to Rs 3.5 crore and can handle print volumes from 10 books to 10 million,” told Uday Grover of Gayathri Machineries.
The company is also offering Hohner range of stitchers – Easy Stitcher, besides stitching heads, which are used worldwide. “The sales and service is done by Gayathri while spares are taken care by Hohner. We are their distributors for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,” he added. In the wire binding category, they offer tabletop equipment from Taiwan and bigger machines from Rilacart, Italy, with a price range between Rs 15,000 and Rs 2.2 crore. Besides, the company also offers single-, double- and multi-hole paper drilling equipment from Nagel, Germany.
Talking about their participation at PAMEX, Grover said, “Though we are not displaying too many machines at the show, but people are stopping at our booth to know more about the solutions we offer. We got a few good inquiries and hope to finalise a few deals at the show.”
Joy D-zign Engineers (P) Ltd(Stall C43) is a well known name in the post-press segment. Though they are not displaying any machine at the show, they are there to meet people. “Due to a few issues like OCTROI, we are not displaying any machines at the show. Nevertheless, people know JOY and we are here to exchange thoughts and ideas,” told NS Manku of JOY D-zign Engineers. Their range of machines include nipping and squaring press, edge squaring press for stationery and also for diaries, twin corner cutting machines, baling press, mono book press, etc.
Five Star Printing Machinery Co(Stall J01) offers automatic envelope making machine with self-adhesive peel, hydraulic die-cutting machine, automatic window patching machine, fully automatic thread book sewing machine, semi-auto six head saddle stitching machine, hydraulic/semi-automatic programmable paper cutting machine, round corner machine and auto creasing, perforating and half-cutting machine.
Capital Graphic Systems (CGS)(Stall F04) is offering Hunkeler print finishing solutions for continuous inkjet for all major digital printing machines manufacturers like HP, Canon, Xerox, Kodak, Ricoh, Screen, Konica Minolta, etc.
Welbound Worldwide (P) Ltd(Stall G21) is showcasing two machines at the show – Print Plus WB 2000 and Blue Ultra Compo perfect binding machine for PUR.
Other exhibitors in this category include Suba Solutions(Stall G09), Megabound(Stall E30), etc.
