Tushar Dhote Takes the Helm at AIFMP with Focus on Wider Industry Reach

The new AIFMP President takes charge with a focus on deeper regional engagement and strengthening the international presence of Indian print and Pamex across South Asia and beyond.

The All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) has entered a new leadership term with Tushar Dhote taking charge as President, supported by a team representing key printing regions and associations across India.

The new leadership team includes Tushar Dhote, MMS, as President; Dr Arun Aggarwal, Delhi, as VP North; Sanjay Thorwat, Kolhapur, as VP West; Sanjoy Kumar, West Bengal, as VP East; C Prakash Babu, KSPA, Bengaluru, as VP South; Raveendra Babu, Andhra Pradesh, as Honorary General Secretary; Shubojit Biswas, West Bengal, as Joint Secretary; and Rahul Mahajan, Jammu, as Treasurer.

Tushar takes charge with a strong emphasis on widening AIFMP’s reach, connecting more closely with regional printing communities and building stronger industry relationships beyond India.

Taking the industry conversation beyond the metros

Regional penetration has already been an important part of Tushar’s approach.

As part of Bharat Print Expo, Tushar initiated roadshows across Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns, particularly in South and West India, with the objective of taking the exhibition directly to regional printing communities rather than relying only on conventional promotion in established print centres.

The initiative created direct engagement with printers, local associations and industry stakeholders in these markets, while helping Bharat Print Expo build visibility among businesses that may otherwise have limited interaction with large national industry platforms.

The roadshows also reflected a larger approach that Tushar now brings to AIFMP: national industry platforms need to reach printers where they operate.

For AIFMP, stronger engagement with affiliated associations and regional printing clusters can help widen participation and ensure that smaller and emerging markets become an active part of the national industry conversation.

Building Pamex’s international presence

Tushar’s focus is not limited to expanding reach within India. Strengthening the international presence of Pamex is another important part of the agenda.

The aim is to build greater participation from South Asian countries and position Pamex as a stronger regional platform connecting the Indian printing industry with neighbouring markets.

AIFMP also sees an opportunity to develop closer collaboration with printing associations and industry organisations across South and Southeast Asia.

The focus will be on building sustained relationships that encourage participation, knowledge exchange and stronger connections between printers, associations, technology providers and other industry stakeholders across these markets.

For Pamex, this wider engagement can help strengthen its international footprint while also giving the Indian printing industry a larger platform to connect with businesses and industry communities outside the country.

From regional penetration to global connection

Tushar’s approach brings together two complementary directions: penetrating deeper into India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 printing markets while expanding AIFMP and Pamex’s connections internationally.

The experience of taking Bharat Print Expo directly into regional markets through roadshows provides one model for building participation from the ground up. At the other end, stronger association-to-association collaboration across South and Southeast Asia can help create a wider international network around Indian print.

With the new leadership team in place, AIFMP’s focus will be on strengthening these connections and making its platforms more accessible, more representative and increasingly international.

For Tushar, the opportunity is to bring more of the printing community into the fold, from emerging print clusters across India to industry partners across South Asia and beyond.
