Parveen Aggarwal Nominated as President of OPA for Another Term

During the General Body meeting of Offset Printers’ Association (OPA), held at South City recently, Parveen Aggarwal was unanimously nominated as the President of OPA for yet another term of 2 years. Kamal Chopra was nominated as the General Secretary for another term.

The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of OPA was held at South City, Ludhiana on 28th December, 2014. About 60 members were present, besides passing the annual accounts and annual report the house also decided to organize General Body meetings and technical seminars at least 4 times in a year.

Annual report for the year 2014 was presented by Kamal Chopra General Secretary, speaking on the occasion, Chopra elaborated the various activities of OPA and said that today OPA is known as the internationally reputed most active printers’ association. This entire, he said, became possible because of the most dedicated team of members who gather every Wednesday sharp at 8.00 a.m. to discuss the problems and achievements of the members. He presented personal gifts to all the core committee members. Annual accounts were presented by Hans Raj Chopra, Treasurer reflecting a profit of 5.49 lakh. The house appreciated the working of Hans Raj Chopra and accepted the accounts as circulated.

The annual Calendar of OPA was also released on the occasion jointly by Shri S S Dhillon, Director MSME DI Ludhiana and Parveen Aggarwal, President of OPA. Speaking on the occasion Aggarwal said it is one of the prestigious projects of OPA and this year it is expected that we will generate a profit of about 2 lakh from this project alone. Not only this he said, copies of this calendar are sent all over India this calendar is quite popular in the printers and often it is named as the ‘Printers’ Jantri’. Handsome punctuality gifts were also distributed to the members with the curtsey of the executive members.
