On 8th November 2019, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) & Federation of Nepal Printers Association (FNPA) co-hosted a Roadshow at Alice Receptions in Kathmandu, Nepal. The event consisted of a Technical Conference & a Table Top Exhibition sponsored by HP India Sales Pvt Ltd.
The event started with the lighting of the lamp. A welcome address was given by Mr. Puskal Gautam, President FNPA. That was followed by an introductory presentation on PAMEX 2020 by Prof. Kamal Chopra, Chairman PAMEX. Mr. Anil Arora, President Print-Packaging.com Pvt Ltd- the event partner of PAMEX 2020 ended the inaugural session by acknowledging the efforts put in by FNPA towards organizing of #PrintOdyssey & the International Outreach Program in Nepal.
Following a small Tea Break, a group of about 300 printers attended the Technical seminars. This session was started by Mr. V. Vidyalingam, Director, Suba Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He spoke on the topic of Printing Press as a manufacturing Unit. He started his presentation with a warning that his topic is so basic that one would wonder why is it being presented at all. He emphasised that adopting a manufacturing approach to printing would lead to systematic investments and evaluations- a must for any company. He further educated the printers on how to set realistic goals and what kind of machinery they should be investing in.
He was followed by Mr. Kulraj Singh, Regional Sales Manager, HP India Sales Pvt Ltd. He spoke about the New Era of innovation with HP Indigo. He stated that the world is going towards personalization and customization. “We are moving towards a digital world and Printing is no exception” he exclaimed as part of his presentation. He further went on to demonstrate how one could use the HP Indigo machine to provided customized solutions to add value for the customers.
The last Presentation of the technical conference was given by Mr. Babul Chatterjee, Manager- Marketing, Condot Systems Pvt Ltd. His topic of discussion was on Variable Data Printing. He major focus was on how variable date printing can be used to provide solutions in Barcoding, Mail Addressing, Security Printing, Numbering & Spot Colour/Graphics. He showed various videos that demonstrated the use of CONDOT machines in these segments.
Concurrently, The Table Top Exhibition saw exhibitors marketing products such as CTP Machines & Plates, Toyo Inks, Binders, Paper Drill Bits, Label Inspection Machines & Post Press Machines among many others.
Exhibitors such as Dotspot Pvt Ltd, Electromec Machinery Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, HP India sales Pvt Ltd, Impress Cutting Dies Pvt Ltd, Intergraphic Sales & Service Pvt Ltd & Suba Solutions Pvt Ltd, were present among others.
“We have received a greater response than we had expected at this Roadshow in Nepal. We would like to extended our gratitude to FNPA for organizing such a wonderful and successful event. Special thanks to the President Mr. Puskal Gautam for his planning and execution of Print Odyssey where we visited more than 20 stations and spoke to hundreds of printers.” Said Prof. Chopra.

The success of Print Odyssey and the Roadshow shows that the printers in the country are keen to discuss the issues they are facing and are willing to adapt to changes in the industry. We will be working closely with AIFMP so that the industry can further grow in both the countries” added Mr. Puskal Gautam.
